| The North Leaside Residents' Association (NLRAI) was formed by local residents in 2000 in response to development on the health care land north of Glenvale (these are often referred to as the Bayview Institutional lands). The NLRAI has worked with the city, developers and institutions to mitigate and guide development including the CNIB construction, Daniels residential development, the Bloorview MacMillian redevelopment and the disposal of the CAMH (the Donwood) property. The NLRAI is also The NLRAI has made efforts to engage our local community in raising awareness, including meeting with government representatives at the local, provincial and federal levels to persuade them of the need to preserve these valuable public assets and has worked with the media to bring attention to this important issue. | ||
